Hiya. I've noticed from today's update that a numbered list will use the current number when adding a new line instead of incrementing the number (e.g. if I'm on line 4, pressing enter will add 4. instead of 5.)

Oh silly me, I must have never noticed before, sorry 😅
It actually never incremented before, but I can update this to increment in the next version. One thing to note, however, is that the markdown will be rendered as incrementing numbers. This makes it very easy to rearrange items in the list without changing the numbers.
