Excluding card sides from Reverse Review

Hi Mochi team,

Thanks for the great app. I really like the customisation options and how easy it is to import vocabulary from CSV files — moving my decks was really simple.

For learning language vocabulary, it would be helpful to have the option to exclude specific card sides from the Review Reverse feature.

Use case. I’m using a following setup:

  • 1 side: Word

  • 2 side: Definition

  • 3 side: Association and Example

In this setup, it only makes sense to include Word and Definition in reverse review. Showing Association or Example on the front side breaks the process.

Maybe a special "secondary" card side type, or piece of code, or dropdown/checkboxes in Reverse Review settings could help.

Or if there’s a way to customise this with code? I don’t have much experience and could miss something.

Thanks!

I'm not sure I understand correctly but what I'd do is

  • front: word
  • middle: stuff
  • back: definition

so that you can just skip anything in the middle section by double clicking with the spacebar. Does this help?
