I use Mochi for language learning with a daily new-card limit. Some decks are vocabulary for my language course (must learn before class), others are words I collect for myself (not urgent). I want the global "New cards" queue to give me course cards first and my own cards only after those run out.
Today the queue has no notion of importance. Opening "New cards" per deck works for two decks, but not for a dozen sub-decks with a shared daily limit. My workaround: I archive low-priority cards through the API and unarchive them later, just to keep them out of the queue.
Minimal version: a way to mark a deck as priority (a simple toggle, inherited by sub-decks). "New cards" serves cards from priority decks first, then everything else; within each group the order stays as it is now. That alone would solve my case.
Full version: a numeric priority on decks and on individual cards, so there can be several levels and a single card can be bumped within a deck.
Either way this only changes which new cards are introduced first. Review scheduling is untouched.
