My understanding of a "flashcard" is that there will be one main side, that you see, as well as a hidden side, that you should try to recall. If it's hard for you to recall, it'll have to be reviewed earlier (in general).
However, it seems like whenever I press "N" inside Mochi, it doesn't create a flashcard, but a single-sided card (which I'll call a "business card" from now on).
I'm curious what the motivation behind this was, since I presume most people adding cards are probably trying to add flashcards. I didn't see a way to change the default behavior, either!
Am I missing anything or is it just not an option?
Thanks for the response. I could use hidden text, but during reviews that would mean clicking to reveal it each time, which seems a bit less convenient. Importing a CSV with front and back fields is easier, and that’s what I’m doing now. I also appreciate the tip about the three-dashes workaround.
One question: is it possible to set a default card type, so that when I press “N,” all new cards use that type automatically?
