I've been using Mochi for 4 years. Everything else is nearly perfect, but two issues have been bothering me:
-
I drag and drop cards to sort them on my computer. When I import them into the mobile app, I like to review all my cards from start to finish each time. When I tap the "New Card" button, the first review goes through the cards in order from start to finish, but the order seems to get messed up afterwards. I have selected Cam mode and set sorting to "creation date," but when I drag newly added cards to the middle of the existing cards, those new cards end up at the end when I use Cam mode. This breaks the logical flow of the content I need to memorize. I hope the sorting can follow the order I drag and drop on the computer mochi program.

I use iOS. For example, if a deck has 50 cards and I stop after reviewing 25 cards by putting the app in the background, when I reopen the app after some time, I have to start all over again from the beginning.
Dear Matt,
Thank you for your answers. Regarding the second question, I understand it now.
For the first question, I now get the logic behind the "new cards" review screen – it makes sense and should work well for most people's study habits.
However, I personally prefer the cram mode. But when I tap the "clear sort (manual)" option, the card order in cram mode doesn't match the order I manually arranged on my computer (by dragging and dropping). Could you please test this? For example, create 3–5 cards, modify one card and change its position, then add a new card and drag it to the top. What I'd really like is that when I use cram mode without applying any sort (i.e., no sorting rule active), the card order should be exactly the same as the manual order I set on my computer.
Thanks for looking into this!
